Access your complete appointment history, filter by status or service type, and manage all your healthcare visits in one place.
Accessing Your Appointments
- Open the RoadL Patient App
- Choose one of these options:
- Tap My Appointments from the home dashboard
- Open the side menu and select My Appointments
- Tap on any appointment card from the home screen
Understanding Appointment Statuses
Your appointments will show different statuses throughout their lifecycle:
Active Statuses
- Request Raised - Your visit request is being processed
- Provider Assigned - A healthcare provider has been matched to your visit
- Scheduled - Your appointment is confirmed with a specific date and time
- On the Way - Your provider is traveling to your location
- In Progress - Your provider has arrived and is providing care
Completed Statuses
- Completed - Visit finished successfully
- Closed (Encounter Locked) - Visit fully documented and closed
Other Statuses
- Cancelled - Visit was cancelled by you or RoadL
- Re-Scheduling - Visit is being rescheduled to a new date/time
Searching and Filtering Appointments
Search Appointments
Use the search bar to find specific appointments:
- Search by provider name
- Search by service type
- Search by location
- Type-to-search works instantly as you type
Filter by Status
Narrow down your appointment list:
- Tap the Filter icon
- Select one or more statuses:
- All Appointments
- Scheduled
- Completed
- Cancelled
- In Progress
- Tap Apply
Filter by Service Type
Find specific types of care:
- Tap Service Type filter
- Select from available services:
- Home Wellness Visits
- Urgent Care Visits
- Annual Wellness Visits
- Telehealth Visits
- And more
- Multiple selections allowed
Filter by Date Range
Review appointments from specific time periods:
- Tap Date Range filter
- Select start date
- Select end date
- Tap Apply
Your appointments will update automatically to show only visits within this timeframe.
Sorting Appointments
Change how your appointments are organized:
Sort Options:
- By Date (newest first) - Default view
- By Date (oldest first) - Historical review
- By Status - Group similar statuses together
Viewing Appointment Details
Tap any appointment to see complete information:
Basic Information
- Service Type - Type of care you're receiving
- Date & Time - When your visit is scheduled
- Provider - Healthcare professional assigned (after assignment)
- Status - Current appointment state
Location Details
- Service Address - Where care will be provided
- Special Instructions - Any notes you provided
Payment Information
- Payment Method - Insurance or credit card
- Estimated Cost - For self-pay visits
- Insurance - Coverage information
Provider Information (After Assignment)
- Provider Name
- Professional Photo
- Credentials (NPI, specialty)
- Ratings (if available)
Quick Actions from Appointment View
Available actions depend on your appointment status:
Before the Visit
- Cancel Appointment - Cancel your visit request
- Modify Appointment - Request changes to date/time
- Add to Calendar - Export to your device calendar
- Share Details - Share with family or caregivers
During the Visit
- Locate Provider - Track provider's real-time location (when en route)
- Contact Support - Call or chat with RoadL Operations
After the Visit
- Provide Feedback - Rate your experience
- View Receipt - Access payment receipt
- View Documentation - Access visit notes (when available)
Understanding Appointment Cards
Each appointment card shows at-a-glance information:
Top Section:
- Service type icon and name
- Appointment date and time
Middle Section:
- Provider name and photo (if assigned)
- Status indicator with color coding
Bottom Section:
- Location (address)
- Quick action buttons
Color Coding:
- 🔵 Blue - Scheduled/Upcoming
- 🟢 Green - Completed
- 🟡 Yellow - In Progress
- 🔴 Red - Cancelled
- 🟣 Purple - Pending/Processing
Viewing Upcoming Appointments
Your home dashboard shows your next appointments:
- Navigate to Home
- Scroll to My Appointment(s) section
- See your next 1-3 upcoming visits
- Tap View All to see complete appointment list
Empty State
If you have no scheduled appointments:
- You'll see a friendly illustration
- "Schedule a Visit" call-to-action button
- Quick access to request new care
Managing Multiple Appointments
Appointment List Organization
- Most recent appointments appear first (default)
- Clear visual separation between appointments
- Scroll to browse all appointments
- Pagination for large appointment lists
Family Member Appointments
If you manage care for family members:
- All appointments appear in your list
- Patient name clearly displayed
- Filter by family member name
- Separate payment methods per person
Refreshing Your Appointment List
Keep your appointment information current:
- Pull to Refresh - Drag down on the appointment list
- Automatic Updates - App refreshes when opened
- Real-Time Notifications - Status changes push to your device
Exporting Appointment History
Need a record of your care?
- Open My Appointments
- Tap the menu icon (three dots)
- Select Export Appointments
- Choose format:
- PDF for printing
- CSV for spreadsheets
- Choose delivery:
- Email to yourself
- Save to device
- Share with healthcare provider
Appointment Reminders
Never miss an appointment:
Automatic Reminders
- 24 hours before - "Your appointment is tomorrow"
- 2 hours before - "Your appointment is today"
- Provider en route - "Your provider is on the way"
- Provider arriving - "Your provider will arrive in 5 minutes"
Managing Reminders
Configure in Settings → Notifications:
- Turn reminders on/off
- Choose notification channels (push, email, SMS)
- Set custom reminder times
Troubleshooting
Appointment Not Showing
- Pull down to refresh the list
- Check your internet connection
- Try logging out and back in
- Contact support: (833) 762-3555
Can't Filter Appointments
- Update to the latest app version
- Clear app cache in Settings
- Reinstall the app if problem persists
Wrong Appointment Information
- Contact RoadL Operations immediately: (833) 762-3555
- Use in-app chat for quick assistance
- Changes can be made up to 2 hours before scheduled time
