Viewing Your Addresses
Access Address Book
- Open RoadL Patient App
- Tap menu (three lines)
- Go to My Profile
- Tap Addresses
- See all saved locations
Address List Organization
Addresses organized by:
Default Address:
- Marked with home icon
- Used automatically for quick scheduling
- First in the list
Other Addresses:
- Labeled by nickname or full address
- Alphabetical or by recent use
- Tap to view details
Address details shown:
- Nickname (if provided)
- Street address
- City, State, Zip
- Special instructions
- Last used date
Adding a New Address
Method 1: Search and Select
Easiest and most accurate:
- Go to My Profile → Addresses
- Tap Add Address
- Tap Search for Address
- Start typing street address
- Select from dropdown suggestions
- System auto-fills City, State, Zip
- Add Apt/Suite if needed
- Tap Confirm
Powered by Azure Maps:
- Accurate geocoding
- Verified addresses
- Real locations only
- Optimized for provider routing
Method 2: Use Current Location
When you're at the location:
- Tap Add Address
- Tap Use Current Location
- Grant location permission if prompted
- GPS determines your address
- Verify address is correct
- Edit if needed
- Add special instructions
- Tap Save
Best for:
- New construction not in databases
- Rural areas
- Complex locations
- When you're physically there
Method 3: Manual Entry
Type everything yourself:
- Tap Add Address
- Tap Enter Manually
- Fill in all fields:
- Street address
- Apt/Suite/Unit (optional)
- City
- State
- Zip code
- System verifies address
- Tap Save
Note: Manual entries still verified against mapping databases.
Adding Address Details
Make visits smoother with complete information:
Address Nickname:
- Give location a memorable name
- Examples: "Mom's House", "Work", "Vacation Home"
- Appears in booking dropdown
- Easier to select
Special Instructions:
- Gate codes
- Building entrance details
- Parking information
- Security protocols
- Doorbell/knock preferences
- Pet information
- Any access notes
Character limit: 500 characters
Examples:
- "Gate code #1234. Park in visitor spot. Ring doorbell twice."
- "Apartment building. Use east entrance. Unit 4B, 3rd floor. Dog barks but is friendly."
- "House with blue door. Park in driveway. Use side entrance."
Editing an Address
Update Address Information
- Go to My Profile → Addresses
- Tap the address to edit
- Tap Edit
- Modify any fields:
- Street address
- Apt/Suite
- City, State, Zip
- Nickname
- Special instructions
- Tap Save Changes
When You Can't Edit
Address locked if:
- Upcoming appointment scheduled there
- Provider already assigned
- Visit in progress
- Within 2 hours of scheduled time
Solution:
- Cancel or complete the appointment
- Or modify appointment to new address
- Then edit address details
For emergency changes:
- Call RoadL Operations: (833) 762-3555
- Modify appointment address instead
- Create new address for future use
Updating Special Instructions
Can update instructions anytime:
- Tap address
- Tap Edit Instructions
- Update delivery notes
- Save changes
Instructions update even with scheduled appointments.
Setting Your Default Address
What is Default Address?
Your default address is:
- Used automatically for quick booking
- First option when scheduling
- Appears on home dashboard
- Marked with home icon
Change Default Address
- Go to Addresses
- Tap address to make default
- Tap Set as Default
- See home icon move to new address
- Confirmation message appears
Important:
- Only one default at a time
- Change anytime
- Takes effect immediately
- New bookings use new default
Strategy for Default
Choose default based on:
- Where you schedule visits most
- Your primary residence
- Most convenient location
- Where you are most often
Examples:
- Primary home (most common)
- Parent's home (if regular caregiver)
- Work (if scheduling work visits)
- Current residence (if traveling)
Deleting Addresses
Remove Unused Addresses
Keep your address book clean:
- Go to Addresses
- Tap address to delete
- Tap Delete Address
- Confirm deletion
When you can't delete:
- It's your default (set new default first)
- Upcoming appointment scheduled there
- It's your only address
- Recent appointment (48 hours)
Deletion is permanent:
- Cannot be undone
- History remains in past appointments
- Must re-add if needed later
Before Deleting
Consider:
- Will you use this address again?
- Any scheduled appointments there?
- Is this someone's primary address?
- Save instructions elsewhere if needed
Alternatives to deleting:
- Keep it but don't use
- Update nickname to "OLD" or "DO NOT USE"
- Archive mentally

When scheduling a visit:
Step 3: Choose Address
- See list of saved addresses
- Default address pre-selected
- Tap different address if needed
- Or tap Add New Address
- Confirm selection
Address shown in booking:
- Address nickname
- Street address
- Special instructions included
- Map preview (optional)
Temporary Address
Need one-time location?
Option 1: Add and Delete
- Add address for this visit
- Schedule appointment
- Delete address after visit
Option 2: Modify During Booking
- Start with closest saved address
- Modify in booking flow
- Doesn't save to address book
- One-time use only
Option 3: Add and Keep
- Add address during booking
- Check "Save to address book"
- Available for future use

RoadL verifies all addresses for:
- Provider routing - Accurate GPS coordinates
- Service area - Within coverage zone
- Safety - Real, accessible locations
- Quality - Proper service delivery
Verification Process
When adding address:
- System checks against Azure Maps database
- Geocodes to latitude/longitude
- Verifies within service area
- Flags any issues
Verification statuses:
- ✅ Verified - Address confirmed and ready
- ⚠️ Needs Review - Address found but confirm details
- ❌ Cannot Verify - Address not found or invalid
If Address Won't Verify
Common issues:
New construction:
- Address too new for databases
- Use current location method
- Contact support with proof of address
Rural addresses:
- May lack street numbers
- Use GPS coordinates
- Provide detailed directions
Complex locations:
- Large facilities
- Building within building
- Use special instructions field
Typos:
- Double-check spelling
- Verify zip code
- Try search method instead

- Cannot schedule visits there

Address Privacy and Security
Who Sees Your Addresses
Only shown to:
- Assigned healthcare provider
- RoadL Operations (for coordination)
- You (in your account)
Providers see:
- Service address for their assigned visit only
- Special instructions
- Not your other saved addresses
Security measures:
- Encrypted storage
- Accessed only when needed
- Not shared externally
- HIPAA compliant
Address in Communications
Notifications show:
- Appointment confirmation: Full address
- Provider assignment: Full address
- Reminders: Street only (for privacy)
Receipts show:
- Visit documentation: Full address
- Payment records: City/State only
