Add Family Members for Coordinated Care
Manage healthcare for your entire family from one RoadL account. Add family members to schedule visits, share insurance, and coordinate care for everyone in your household.
Who Can You Add?
You can add family members including:
- Children (any age)
- Spouse or partner
- Parents
- Siblings
- Other relatives living with you
How to Add a Family Member
Step 1: Navigate to Family Management
- Open the RoadL Patient App
- Tap the menu icon (☰)
- Select My Family
- Tap Add Family Member
Step 2: Enter Basic Information
Fill in the required details:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY)
- Gender (Male, Female, or Prefer not to specify)
- Relationship to you:
- Son
- Daughter
- Spouse
- Father
- Mother
- Uncle
- Aunt
- Other
Step 3: Add Contact Information (If Applicable)
For older children or adult family members:
- Email Address (optional)
- Phone Number (optional)
Note: For minors, parental contact information is used.
Step 4: Accept Terms & Conditions
As the account holder, you're responsible for:
- ✅ Accepting Terms & Conditions on behalf of the family member
- ✅ Ensuring accuracy of their information
- ✅ Managing their healthcare appointments
Read and accept the terms by checking the box and tapping I Accept.
Step 5: Add Additional Information
Insurance Information
- Use the same insurance as yours, or
- Add different insurance for the family member
- Upload their insurance card if different from yours
Unique Profile Details
- Emergency contact (if different from yours)
- Specific address (if they live elsewhere)
- Medical history notes (for provider reference)
Step 6: Save Family Member
- Review all information
- Tap Save Family Member
- They'll now appear in your My Family list
Scheduling Visits for Family Members
From the Scheduling Flow
- Tap Schedule a Visit
- In Step 1, choose For Family Member
- Select which family member needs care
- Complete the scheduling process as normal
All appointments for family members appear in My Appointments with the family member's name clearly displayed.
Separate Appointment Tracking
- Filter appointments by family member
- Each appointment shows:
- Who the visit is for
- Service type
- Date and time
- Provider information
- Status
Managing Family Member Profiles
Edit a Family Member
- Go to My Family
- Tap on the family member's name
- Edit any information:
- Personal details
- Insurance
- Address
- Emergency contacts
- Tap Save Changes
Remove a Family Member
- Go to My Family
- Tap on the family member
- Scroll to the bottom
- Tap Remove Family Member
- Confirm the removal
Note: Removing a family member does not delete their historical appointment records.
Shared vs. Separate Information
What's Shared Across the Family
- Your account email and password (for login)
- Primary address (unless you add a different one)
- Emergency contact (unless you specify different)
- Insurance plans (if you choose to share)
What's Unique to Each Family Member
- Personal health information
- Individual appointment history
- Visit notes and medical records

- Separate insurance (if added)
Privacy & Consent
For Minors (Under 18)
- Parents/guardians have full access to all information
- All appointment details are visible to the account holder
- Medical records are accessible through the parent's account
For Adults (18+)
- When you add an adult family member, you're their account manager
- You can schedule and manage appointments on their behalf
- HIPAA rules apply - providers may need to speak directly with the adult patient
- Consider if the adult should have their own RoadL account

- Add child to My Family

Managing care for aging parent:
- Add parent to your account
- Set up their Medicare/insurance information
- Add their home address if different from yours
- Schedule routine visits or chronic care management
Scenario 3: Shared Insurance
Whole family on one plan:
- Add each family member
- Link them all to the same insurance policy
- Ensure subscriber information is accurate
- Schedule visits as needed - insurance covers all
Appointment Notifications
You'll receive notifications for all family members:
- Appointment confirmations
- Provider assignments
- Provider tracking ("Your son's provider is on the way")
- Visit completions
- Follow-up reminders

How many family members can I add?
- No limit! Add as many as needed.
Can a family member have their own login?
- Currently, all family members are managed through your account
- Adult family members may prefer creating their own separate RoadL account
What if my child turns 18?
- You can continue managing their care if they consent
- They can create their own account and transfer their history
- Contact support for account transition assistance
Can I add someone who doesn't live with me?
- Yes, as long as you have authorization to manage their healthcare
- Add their specific address for accurate provider matching
What if family members have different insurance?
- No problem! Each family member can have their own insurance plan
- Simply add separate insurance for each person who needs it
